CLEAR LIGHT OF DAY

John 9:39 – let’s look at a couple of different Bible Versions – NKJV and if you will allow me, the Message.

“And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.””
John 9:39 NKJV

“Jesus then said, “I came into the world to bring everything into the clear light of day, making all the distinctions clear, so that those who have never seen will see, and those who have made a great pretense of seeing will be exposed as blind.””
John 9:39 MSG

I love the mornings. I love sunrises more than sunsets.  Mornings represent a fresh start, a new perspective, and new beginnings; just as it did for the blind man at the pool of Bethesda.  I love spending time with God in these quiet morning moments.  The two of us.  He keeps me aligned with what’s right, true and pleasing to Him.  His Word truly is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. 

I don’t feel like I’m a super spiritual woman.

Honestly, most days I feel carnal, that’s why I need my mornings with Jesus so much!  Because when I spend time with Him, He somehow gives me the right perspective on life and its complex situations.  Without my time with Him, I’m ashamed to admit that I can become like those in the synagogue, condemning even good Jesus’ deeds.  Jesus healed on the Sabbath, because he fluctuated from their rules, He couldn’t possibly be their Messiah. 

Today my prayer is:  Jesus give me a “clear light of day” experience.  I greatly desire a generous, loving, kind, forgiving… Spirit.  I need Him to spread the nasty muck of mud over my spiritual eyes that will help me to see situations through His perspective.  More times than not, He is doing a great work below the surface that we don’t see!  I want to look at even the most dismal situations with more anticipation and hope.     

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.”
Isaiah 55:8 NKJV

His ways are better than my ways – OH YES, so much better. 

Conquering Action:
Are you willing to allow God to put you through the process of “muddy eyes”? 
It takes time (which is precious to us all).
It takes a willing heart.
It takes action.

As you go throughout your day or week, seek God’s Clear Light of Day perspective on situations you encounter.
